FAQs

  • We are not directly in-network with any insurance companies.

We work with The Lactation Network and Wildflower Health. The plans they are in network are listed here. Please note that every insurance plan varies and while your carrier may be listed, your particular plan may still not be in network.

Before booking a consultation with us, we highly recommend you submit your insurance information first and wait to hear back about your eligibility. You will be notified by them if your consultations will be covered (usually within 24 hours or less). Our cancellation policy can be found here.

If your carrier is not in network with The Lactation Network or Wildflower Health, your visit will be out-of-pocket. We will then electronically send you a super bill for you to submit to your insurance company for any potential reimbursement.

Coming Home does not directly contact your insurance company or have any further information on why your plan may or may not be covered. We recommend you speak with your insurance company if you have further questions.

  • If you and your baby have separate insurance plans, please submit both! Often times one carrier may be denied but another will cover your lactation consultations for you or your baby.

Ex: Mom has an Anthem plan that is denied but baby has a BCBS plan that is accepted.

  • We always encourage a prenatal consultation. A prenatal consultation is a great time to discuss your unique feeding goals and answer any specific questions you have. We can discuss any previous experiences you have surrounding breastfeeding, pumping, or bottle feeding in the comfort of your space. We encourage a prenatal consultation to take place anytime during your third trimester.

Learn more about our prenatal consultations here.

  • Yes! The cost of a twin visit is $300 for 120 minutes and $250 for 90 minutes.

  • Not much! The beauty of us coming to you is that you can be in your element and we bring everything with us.

The only thing you need to have done ahead of time is an intake form that you will receive upon booking with us, along with completed insurance verification. Learn more here.

  • As IBCLCs, it is not within our scope of practice to diagnose a tongue or lip tie. This must be done by an advanced practice medical provider, SLP, or PT. However, we have completed additional training(s) to assess the function of your baby’s latch. We will provide you with next steps if we think your baby is exhibiting signs of a tongue or lip tie.
